For the Ruta al Mar road corridor, an exhaustive measurement and evaluation of compliance with various pavement key performance indicators was carried out, including the International Roughness Index (IRI), rutting, friction, texture, cracking, potholes, subsidence, and structural capacity. To this end, advanced equipment such as the Multifunctional Vehicle (MFV), the Grip Tester, and the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) were used. Additionally, measurements were taken with ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to determine the thicknesses of the pavement structure layers.
