At Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport, a comprehensive pavement evaluation has been carried out over the last four years, covering both the airside and landside. The study includes surface condition analysis by calculating the Pavement Condition Index (PCI), as well as roughness and friction measurements on the runway. Additionally, the structural condition was evaluated through HWD equipment measurements and backcalculation of moduli, along with load-bearing capacity using the ACN/PCN and ACR/PCR methodologies. This evaluation allows for the updating of the pavement management system, guarantees operational safety, and complies with ICAO and FAA standards, facilitating efficient airport maintenance planning.

At Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport in Barranquilla, an exhaustive functional and structural pavement evaluation has been carried out over the last 4 years. This evaluation includes distress inventory and Pavement Condition Index (PCI) calculation, as well as deflectometric measurements, backcalculation of moduli, and ACN/PCN (Aircraft Classification Number/Pavement Classification Number) calculation for both airside and landside.

Additionally, a pavement maintenance plan has been implemented and updated annually using the PAVER software. This approach allows the calibration of models to the actual conditions of the airport, ensuring optimal pavement preservation and improving maintenance management efficiency.
