Pavement Evaluation of the Landside – El Dorado Airport – Bogotá, Colombia
Strinso carries out the pavement evaluation on the landside access roads of El Dorado International Airport, in Bogotá, Colombia. This multi-year project, contracted by OPAÍN S.A., has the main objective of diagnosing the condition of the pavements in the vehicular access areas, providing accurate data that allowed the planning of maintenance and preservation interventions. The structural and functional evaluation was performed using advanced tools, including deflectometric testing with the FWD equipment and PCI surveys to determine the level of degradation.
The OPAIN Landside project has been carried out since 2021 and focuses on ensuring the durability and safety of the roads that serve as access to the airport, for both light traffic and cargo vehicles. Javier Augusto Ortiz Moscoso, Project Director, leads a team of specialists composed of engineers specialized in pavements, structural analysis, and the use of advanced software for data management.
